Obituary of Josephine DeSiano

Josephine DeSiano passed away on November 10, 2025 at the age of 101. She was born in NYC in 1924 and moved to Barren Island at age six. She moved to East New York at age 17, lived in Gerritsen Beach after her marriage, and finally settled in Flatlands in 1952 where she raised her family and remained until her death. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew, whom she married in 1944, as well as her parents, siblings and dear granddaughter, Melanie. 

She was loved and cherished by those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Forever in our hearts.

Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.  

The visitation for Josephine DeSiano will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen of Heaven Roman Catholic Church on Monday. November 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM - the family will be gathering at the funeral home by 9:00 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at St. John Cemetery.
