It's strange and sad at the same time, that this is the second person I researched this month, only to find out that they passed away. The first person was a music teacher of mine and then Ugo. And I'm pretty positive that this is the Ugo that taught in Boody Junior High School up the block from where i lived on west 4th street in Brooklyn. Ugo grew up with my mom and almost certain they attended school at the same time. Whenever he ran into my mom and I he would say, " Hi Frances" never called her by her nickname which was " Gigi" So that tells me he knew her way back before her nickname. He saw my artwork one day and said that his son is an artist, though i never met him. But anyway, he was a really nice guy and so sorry to hear he passed. God bless and thinking about you, man. Ugo was a great friend for many, many years. We played music together and he was a wonderful musician, always studying new instruments, great feeling for jazz. He was a wonderful and highly respected teacher and principal. On his weddng day as he and Edie came out of church and people threw rice, some wiseguy students threw snowballs. They didn't get far as Ugo chased them down, told them to straighten up and do right and returned to Edie's side, where he could always be found. We loved them both very much as well as their sons. I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
