To the family of Patrick Sullivan:
While I am not positive, I believe Mr. Sullivan was both my 6th and 7th Grade teacher at St. Joseph's School in Babylon, NY. He was Brother Peter, OSF, to us, back in 1961 through 1963. I last saw him in the St. John's University cafeteria back in 1971 or thereabouts.
I often wondered what happened to him and today I just googled "Patrick Sullivan, Former Franciscan Brother".
It took me to this site and as soon as I saw his smile, I just knew it had to be my former teacher.
While I know he passed away over two years ago, I do want to offer my condolences to each of you.
I will never ever forget him!
All of my best,
John H. Schultz

Ms. Sullivan, our condolences to you and your family during this time of mourning. I cannot begin to understand what you are going though but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. You were a great support for Myles when he was hospitalized last year and during his recovery while he was in school. If there is anything that we can do for you, please let us know.

Our sincerest condolences to you, Sue and Susan. Because we live so far away from each, we didn't know Pat as well as we would have liked. But for the few times we met him, we just knew he was a warm and loving person. Our prayers, thoughts and love to you during this time.

Thank you Uncle Pat for the williamsburg trips and the awesome lesson-filled walks where you birthed my lifelong love of history -- thank you for all the weekends that you spent with me in the Poconos growing up and all the games we played and the adventures we shared -- thank you for the bike rides through Marine Park on our way to pick up those delicious breakfast rolls that we just had to have to start our day (where you also birthed my lifelong love of the perfect roll :)-- thank you for being so wonderful to my beloved Aunt Alice and for taking such good care of her -- thank you for bringing the loving and completely awesome Susans into our lives whom we hope to continue to cherish -- thank you for teaching me so much about how to be a good, honorable, dependable and fun-loving man. As Poppy would say "Vaya con Dios" Pat -- you were so much more to me than just an amazing uncle and I will forever love you very much.

Pat was a very special and caring human being and teacher. Loved when he brought the delicious rolls and yummy cream cake often just because he knew it would put a smile on his colleague's faces. He always tried to make history come alive for his students. His memory will live on with those of us lucky enough to teach with him. My heartfelt condolences to the family he cherished.

My daughter, Jeanne, is right ... can't imagine our world without Pat in it. He was the kindest, most generous person. The expression "he'd give you the shirt off his back" was Pat and more....he'd give you his pants and shoes, as well. Our hearts are so heavy. Our love to Sue, his beloved, and to Susan, his other beloved. K.

I was sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I worked him at Woodland. He was so good to all of us, he even brought in pastries for us after he retired from his beloved Brooklyn bakery. He adored his family, that was clear. He really was a gem. Thinking of all of you and remembering Pat with great memories.

Our hearts are broken, for you and for us. It's hard to imagine a world without a Pat Sullivan in it. My only comfort is knowing he is with my dad, and that they are having a long awaited martini together in heaven. We love you. Jeanne and Bill
