Obituary of Nora Merrill
Nora Merrill passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 14, 2014 at the age of 83. Nora was born to the parents of Malcolm and Blanche Beetchie on August 5th 1932 in Brooklyn, NY.
Nora was the oldest of two children. Nora grew up in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Ohio to start a family. Nora’s life took a different path and she returned home to be with her mother. Nora was a homemaker who was especially caring and compassionate and devoted to her chosen profession. Nora attended specialized training with Good Shepherd in Brooklyn for those who needed it most. Nora was a “kid at heart”, animal lover and social butterfly who loved holidays and dressing up to go out. Nora was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Patricia and survived by her son and daughter Dennis and his wife Phyllis, Mary and her friend Sarah (Nora’s adopted daughter) all from Delaware. Nora also left behind one grandson and one great grandson, Nickolas Bailey and Nickolas Bailey II. Nora is also survived by one nephew, two nieces and cousin.
