To Harry's Family, Friends and Colleagues
My deepest sympathy to all of you who knew and loved Harry. He was my professor at the Baruch Health Administration program and we reconnected years later when I was doing a project at Care for the Homeless and his was the Board chair. His intellect, passion, dedication to his students, commitment to those in need and his humor will be missed.

I wish to extend my profound condolences to all of you. Harry was a professor of mine at Baruch/Mt. Sinai (1975-77). Great teacher, great department chair, great guy!
May he rest in peace and may you see him again as promised. May he now dwell in the mansion
in the mansion prepared for him, his suffering ended. May you be granted peace, consolation and strength. I'll pray for him and for you.

Dear Mildred & Eddy
So sorry for your loss. Harry truley was a wonderful guy. He is also to date the most intelligent man I have ever met. I still to this day use his fishing tactics that he taught me on the many fishing trips he was kind enough to take me on aboard the Silver Rose. Good bye, my friend, you will be missed.

It was always a treat to see Cousin Harry at family events. He had a deep, wonderful laugh and gave the best hugs. He always took an interest in my career and we enjoyed sharing stories of the academic life when I worked at Wharton. Plus, I think he was one of the ones around the table that night who voted for me to get my ears pierced at age 12. I'll miss him dearly and remember him fondly.

Dear Family & Friends of Harry,
I served with Harry on International House's World Council of Alumni, and remember now as I always will, his upbeat and positive spirit. We shared laughs together and also were able to discuss everyday matters in a serious way. Harry was both fun to be with and a voice of reason.
Over the last years, we saw each other only once in a while, too little in hindsight, but when we did we picked up on our previous conversations as if we had only started them the day before.
Harry will be missed by us, just as by his many I-House friends,

No one had a laugh as bold and positive as Harry.
He was a citizen of the world who knew much. But above all, he had a charitable heart as did his mother and father. He loved and stood by his family during his hard times.
He always had time to speak with us and with guarded optimism.
A BRIGHT LIGHT has been extinguished on our side of Heaven and will shine in eternity
and our existence is less bright without Harry.

Harry served as a member of International House's World Council of Alumni for many years following his participation in the I-House community itself. His positive spirit and high energy engaged us all throughout many worldwide travels together. He was kind and fun and always treated our children with understanding. Harry 'got' the International House Mission, and lived and embraced it with his open-minded attitude, giving back to the community on many fronts. He will always be remembered and missed by his wide circle of international friends.

Very surprised to hear about Harry after the conversations I had with him just a few months ago at the reunion. Harry was one of the good guys, someone who was always pleasant, liked to joke around, He was so well liked, a good friend to all.

Harry and I were close friends from 1st grade on. Spent lots of time as young boys together with each other"s families. We were teammates on the wrestling team at CHS, hunted and fished together through college. He was a great friend and will be sorely missed.

Dear Family Members of Harry,
My deepest sympathy for your loss. I met Harry when I first started at Baruch. He helped me feel comfortable at the College and was always a friendly presence. Although we rarely saw each other, just the knowledge that a friendly soul was nearby made working at Baruch so much better. He brought light and positive energy. I am very sorry he passed away. I'll miss him dearly.
May the memories sustain you.
Love,
Elisabeth Gareis

Wonderful memories of a very special person. Nice reconnecting at the CHS reunion in the fall -- was looking forward to this Sept, again.
Harry -- remember "the nectarine -- half a peach, half a plum, it's a H--- of a fruit!" "Eat a Nectarine!"
