My very special and wonderful Aunt Helen. She always saw the good in everyone. I'll always remember the time her and I went to the World Trade Center for dinner back in 1982. Afterwards, on the way back to Commack, we got lost in a very bad part the city, she saw some guys and thought we should ask them for directions. I explained to her that they were in the process of stripping a car, and she said, "Maybe they're just fixing it". My wonderful optimistic Aunt.
Sitting in the kitchen of the Shirley Court house eating rice pudding with her is a memory that I always go to when ever I'm feeling low. Taking her to see Tony Bennett in Phoenix in 2000 is also something I'll always remember.
I loved her so much. The laughter, the love, the understanding. Rest in Peace my wonderful Aunt. I'll love you always.
Doug
