Obituary
Obituary of Ursula H. Haynes
Ursula Hetty Haynes was born in Sangre Grande, Trinidad & Tobago. She was the youngest of 8 children whom all preceded her in death. She went on to marry Lennie Haynes and eventually immigrated to the United States in 1974.
Ursula worked very hard providing cleaning services to families and at her night job where she worked providing office maintenance in New York City office buildings. She was able to send two of her children to college which was a major accomplishment as she valued a good education.
Our mother was seen as a wise counselor by all her nieces and nephews in the family. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart and she will be deeply missed. Ursula touched everyone's lives and taught us compassion, love, forgiveness and the importance of family.
Ursula passed from this earth into God's loving arms on November 26, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 79 years old.
Ursula is survived by her three children: Jennifer Kirby, Christopher Haynes, Gillian Alston; two granddaughters: Nicole Pina and Ngozi Alston; three great grandsons: Andre, Jeffrey and Frankie Pina; her nieces Cynthia Muhammad, Antoinette Buckley, Majorie Frasier, Nikia Gordon, Lisa Joseph; nephews: Brian Scoon, Neal Muhammad, Lawrence Buckley and several nieces and nephews residing in Trinidad.
