Obituary
Obituary of Terrence F. Williams
Terrence Francis Williams III, revered husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 11th, 2016 at the age of 51. A beloved and respected member of the Breezy Point, New York community for most of his life, Terry dedicated tireless energy to supporting its families and the quality of their lives and homes of this beautiful extension of the Rockaway Peninsula.
Terry is pre-deceased by his brother, Kevin, his father, Terrence Williams II, and his mother, Dorothy. Terry has left a priceless legacy of devotion and unconditional love to his wonderful wife, Christine and his beautiful daughters, Katie and Maggie.
Every hat that Terry wore - builder, director, musician, song writer, NY Giants fan, best friend to his wife and daughters - he wore with dignity and joy, humor, and devotion.
In his rich and fulfilled life, Terry managed to compliment his commitment to family and friends with his creative and rewarding work as Vice-President of Facilities and Operations for the Trust for Governors Island. Leslie Koch, Executive Director of The Trust for Governors Island said “Terry was our right hand, left hand, and soul.” They are flying the flags on the island at half staff in Terry’s memory. Somehow, in his spare time, Terry also found a way to serve the Catholic Club, the Breezy Point Pipes and Drums, the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee to NYC, the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society, and the Breezy Point Mardi Gras Parade.
Whether planning the next upgrade with “Chrissy” to their beautiful home, counseling his “Girls” on boys, education and their future, or giving expert advice to friends and neighbors, Terry could fill a room with a few wise words and captivating smile. We will all miss you Terry. You are forever in our hearts. Love you forever and a day!
