Obituary of Kasem Dechongkit

Kasem Dechongkit passed away on February 4, 2017 at the age of 76. He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father and grandfather. Kasem was hard-working, industrious, and steadfast. After his birth in Thailand, his long and fulfilling life included coming to America with only 100 dollars, training doctors, delivering babies, analyzing Muy Thai and American boxing, receiving a new kidney, and tracking stock market trends. He was a source of quiet strength for all that knew him. Honest and generous, he was always willing to help family and friends. The Dechongkit family will receive visitors on Friday February 10, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017. Visitors are welcome to arrive at the funeral home as early as 9:00 AM. Beginning at 9:45 AM Pastor Andy Tso will officiate prayer service. Once prayer is concluded the family will express personal reflections of their beloved Sem. At 10:45 AM, family and friends will prepare for their final goodbyes and begin the formation of the funeral cortege to Green-Wood Crematory. The procession will promptly depart the funeral home at 11:30 AM and proceed to Green-Wood Crematory for the committal service.
