Obituary of Douglas W. Corson
Douglas William Corson, 67, of Pocono Lake, died peacefully at his home Friday, June 23, 2017. He was the loving husband of Deborah (McKeefery) Corson with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late William Corson and Ruth Corson.
Douglas was a proud veteran fire fighter for the Fire Department of New York until his retirement in 1997. Shortly after retiring he moved to the Poconos where he enjoyed the remainder of his life with his wife and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; James and his wife Melissa of Staten Island, NY, Christie and her husband Jeff Simone of Newtown, PA; two grandchildren Dean Corson and Jordan Simone; brother, Thomas Corson and sister Linda Derr.
Visiting hours will be held 2 to 5 PM on Friday, June 30 at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Rd., Brooklyn, NY 11234.
Services will continue on Saturday, July 1 from 2 to 5 PM at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco.
