Obituary of Bertram Bobb
Bertram Bobb, son of George & Doris Bobb, was born on March 25, 1948 in Georgetown, Guyana. He died at age 69 on January 22, 2018 in Brooklyn, NY.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline. His children: Terrence, his wife Lyneth; Edward, his wife Franchesca; Dawn Arjoon, her husband Laurence; and Warren, along with his wife Ifeoma. Dear grandfather of Tia, Amy, Amora, Taryn, Jonathan, Curtis, Terrell, Laurence (J.R.), and Selah. Beloved brother of Pamela Padmore, Olivia Sampson, Danesbury Bobb and the late Nova Bobb. Treasured member of a large extended family.
Bertram spent his life helping others. He was a police officer, NYC public school teacher, and worked several years for the United States Census Bureau. However, his most important vocation was preaching and teaching the good news of God’s Kingdom, in an effort to help others gain everlasting life.
Bertram was also an avid reader and lover of music and poetry. He touched everyone he encountered with his charm and wit. He could meet a stranger while vacationing in a foreign country and have a stimulating conversation that made you think he had run into a long, lost friend.
He loved to tell stories, share photographs, and make you laugh. Bertram loved his family and friends. He loved telling others about the wonderful God he served, Jehovah, to whom he dedicated his life in 2003.
Bertram fervently believed that all who endure and faithfully worship Jehovah God to the end will be brought back to live in perfection, where pain and death will be no more, on a paradise earth forever. It was his wish to see us all again at that time.
