Obituary of Louis Phillip Gonzalez
GONZALEZ - Louis Phillip, 89, of Brooklyn, NY. Born to the late Luis and Carmen Gonzalez, he is preceded in death by brother Ernest Gonzalez and sister Irma Karpoff. From 1950 to 1952, Louis proudly served in the U.S. Army after which he began his career in insurance. Known for his love of standards and jazz and as a member of The Players club in the 1950’s, Louis performed in off-Broadway plays, clubs and concert halls including Carnegie Hall. He leaves behind his sister-in-law Rose Marie Gonzalez of Gainesville, Florida and his nephew Steven A. Gonzalez of Atlanta, Georgia.
Reposing Monday January 29, 2018 from10:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
Procession to form by 12:45 PM to Cypress Hills Cemetery for burial.
