My sincere sympathy to all who loved Nancy and especially to the DeLuca, Toscano and Coffone families.
Nancy was a very special lady ... beautiful, intelligent, talented, artistic. She was very kind, thoughtful and generous to so many people. I will never forget how she would cook soup for the needy, crochet layette sets for single mothers and how she made some 46 afghans for the Sloan Kettering Center.
I was blessed to be related to her. From the time I was a little girl, Nancy came bearing gifts of clothes for me. She helped me obtain my first "real" job at Chase Manhattan Bank. And, more recently, she was a comfort to me on the passing of my own mother, Rose Gordon, who was Nancy's cousin.
Nancy loved her Italian heritage. I treasure the stories and information she gave me about our Toscano ancestors and their village in Acri, Italy. Someday, Nancy, I hope to visit Acri and walk the streets and see the sights you've told me about!
Rest in peace, Nancy. You are missed but it is a comfort and joy to know you will be reunited with your loved ones in heaven.
