My condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one Catherine. When we lose a loved one, we are left with a void in our life and overwhelming sadness. To help ease our sorrow, our loving Heavenly Father has given us promises in His word the Bible that provide comfort and hope. One promise is in Isaiah 25:8 which says that God “will do away with death forever” and another promise is in Acts 24:15 which says “there is going to be a resurrection”. We have the hope of being reunited with our loved one when the resurrection takes place and we have the hope of never separating from them again when death ends forever. Titus 1:2 says God “cannot lie” so we are comforted in knowing these promises are sure to be fulfilled. Other scriptures that support these promises can be found on jw.org

I wanted to take a moment to express my condolences to beloved Cathy Dachtera. I met her in 1999 as a student and she hired me as a lifeguard at Kingsborough Community College. My relationship grew with her over the course of the years until I left in 2005. Moreover she was a big part of my success in my career.
