My name is Amelia. I met Jeff as an undergrad at Brooklyn College. Both of us being Brooklyn natives and Army veterans we bonded easily. I just learned about his passing. I would like to extend my deepest condolences and prayers to his family. Jeff was a rare breed, funny, kind, real and always lighthearted. I will remember him fondly. Rest in peace high-speed.

Just today, I was shocked and heartbroken to hear of Jeff's passing. He will be sorely missed by so many students and fellow teachers (including me). My sincerest sympathy to his daughter and family, There are no words for this loss. He was incomparable in so many ways, and taken from this earth much too soon.

I can't believe my brother, best friend growing up, and best man has passed away. The world lost a great human being. We had so many great times together. From P.S. 203, Roy H. Mann JHS, Edward R. Murrow HS, Hunter College, MQH baseball the Orioles, and everything we went through. Jeff, my brother, I am going to miss you so much. I will always remember the time at your house on East 52nd Street. We have been friends for so long and a part of each others life years, meeting in second grade, can't believe you are gone.

I had the pleasure of being in Mr. Caldiero's history class back in 2007. I remember how much he enjoyed being a teacher, telling us he was doing his master's degree, that he was in the military. I never saw him mad. You would think teacher's would lose their minds and flip out in a room full of high school kids, but he would always react in a comical way that would crack us up. My heart and prayers go out to Mr. Caldiero's family and friends. He will truly be missed.

I first spoke to Jeffrey when he called me about entering the teaching profession. I could tell he would make an excellent caring teacher. I was proven correct.
He also demonstrated such respect and compassion when Irv and I lost our mom 3 years ago. May he Rest In Peace and his soul reach the heights of heaven. May his family feel comfort that he is watching over all of you. Linda Kinsberg

Hello, my name is Hector Colon and I work at Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High school in Manhattan. I used to work at Cobble Hill high school in Brooklyn during the 2000’s. It was at Cobble Hill that I first was acquainted with Jeff, as he was my student teacher for one semester.
What I remember the most is how passionate he was at teaching history and being around the kids. I knew early on that he would make a great teacher, and I was proud to have such a dedicated and hard working partner in the classroom. Although we eventually lost contact as we both went on with our lives, I’m glad we were able to re-establish contact via Facebook.
My family I and extend our deepest condolences.
