I have known Georgie from childhood. Sitting on the stoop chatting away, teaching me to drive which I never had interest but he had more faith in me then I had in myself. Our trips to the movies, spumoni gardens and his favorite place in the world fountain ave. Heaven gained an angel but the world lost a true gentlemen. To the Storz family I wish you peace to bring you comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to forever hold in your heart. I'm sorry I couldn't be there. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love Donna

I have known George almost my entire life and I can say I never met a nicer person. When we were younger he worked at Bobs auto. He would pass my corner everyday to and from work including going home for lunch. Whenever I had a question about my car i would wait to hear him driving by and run to the corner to flag him down. (Before cell phones) He always stopped to talk and answer my questions. In recent years anytime we met we always had a conversation and catch up on the past. A great guy, a true hero. RIP George

I knew you through Mike, and you were so pleasant to talk to. Mike spoke of you so often that I felt like I knew you forever. My son, Rich, remembers getting an FDNY t-shirt from you after discussing his service in Iraq. He thought you were a great guy and enjoyed meeting and talking with you right from the start. Although our association was brief, you will be missed. Rest in Peace Georgie.

I had the pleasure of working with George and his dad George in 1988-89 in Flatbush Depot. I looked forward to our daily conversations. They were both so respectful and talented. I painted his 1977 red Impala that he built a motor for back around the time he got called for the FDNY. What a perfectionist he was. Every hose and wire lined up like soldiers and even had the air conditioning working on the big engine he put in.
We became good friends and I remember as he was going through the fire academy he would love talking about the job. Between my dad who was in the FDNY and hearing all George's stories i took the FDNY test and gotten called in 1994 and had to turn it down because I was moving to NJ. I joined a volunteer FD where I live 20 yrs ago and I'm starting 32 yrs with the NYCTA... I also reflect randomly on how George was such a good guy when something reminded me of him. He would give stranger the shirt off his back. So sad he couldn't enjoy his retirement.
Thank you for your service and join that talented Dept of Angels.
RIP George
