RIP to my Uncle Gerald. I remember him fondly for the many times he visited us in upstate NY and his loving and fun spirit. I know he will be by the many people he effected throughout his life.

I am so sorry for your loss. No matter what age a person passes away, it leaves a hurtful feeling. During this time of grief our loving heavenly Father can bring us comfort and endurance. This is mentioned in the Bible at Romans 15:5 which says, " Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant you to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had." Also, 2 Thessalonians 2:16 says, "Moreover, may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness."
