My Great Aunt Grace, was indeed a great Aunt. She was a progressive thinker, who encouraged me to do anything I wanted. She was a great supporter of young women. I remember spending wonderful afternoons in her apartment above the pizzeria she and my Great Uncle Mike owned, listening to the soundtrack from Mary Poppins with my cousin Regina. She taught me how to write my name and encouraged me to read. Because I had a physical disability as a child, I always felt that I was different from everyone else. Aunt Grace told me that I was "unique" and being "unique" was wonderful. She was a patient, soft spoken woman who always had a smile on her face. I can't ever remember a time when she wasn't smiling. I feel blessed to have had Aunt Grace in my life. I only wish everyone could be that lucky.

The first word that comes to mind when I think about the 40 some odd years I've known Grace......is Generous....always generous with all that she had; generous with her time; generous with her kindness; generous with her always visible smile; generous to her entire family; so, so many other ways to describe her generosity; but, most of all, most of all, her God-given ability to abundantly share her unconditional Love with everyone she knew. Well done, Grace, good and faithful servant.
