Obituary of Joseph Mormando

Joseph Mormando passed away Thursday February 13, 2020. Mr. Mormando was born January 23, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. He was predeceased by his wife, Maryann (Cuzzone) Mormando, his parents Anthony and Josephine (Adamo) Mormando and his sister Antoinette Rascio. He is survived by his sister, Fannie (George) Raimondo and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mr. Mormando was a proud United States Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He subsequently worked as an engineer for 25 years at Con Edison before his retirement in 1996. Mr. Mormando loved animals, especially his beloved parrot, Buddy.

The visitation for Joseph Mormando will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Monday February 24, 2020 from 8:00 - 9:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM on Monday February 24, 2020. The Committal Service will immediately follow at Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island.
