Irish Prayer
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again
May you keep safe
In the gentle loving arms of God

"That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet." Emily Dickinson
May Lisa, Lynne, Laura and all of Betty's grandchildren know the legacy of love their mother and grandmother left on the world. She was a person of immense integrity, and never faulted in her devotion for her family and friends. My mom and Betty were cousins, but my siblings and I referred to her as Aunt Betty because she was like a sister to my mom, and she treated me as one of her own. She once told me that we were really all one Irish Clan, and our joy was her joy and our pain was her pain. I always knew when mom and Betty were on the phone cause the conversation was lively and I knew they were telling it like it is. When I was very young, Betty would always take the time to talk to me, and always made me feel special and important. She used big words and I usually knew what they meant but in my adulthood I realized the indelible mark she made on me in my professional career. She would say to me make sure in subtle ways people know you are the smartest person in the room, and I knew exactly what she meant. That your actions will always speak louder than your words; words to live by for sure.
Betty I will miss you terribly but if I close my eyes, I see your beautiful smile and hear you laughing with my mom at her kitchen table.

My sympathy and condolences to all the family. Your Mom was a great friend and co-worker in the Rosary Society. We served together as officers and enjoyed our work in promoting devotion to Our Blessed Mother. I have many memories from the many parties and activities we planned together. May she enjoy her reward in Heaven and may she rest in peace.
