Obituary of Anthony J. Critelli
Anthony Critelli, age 73, passed away on Friday, July 31st 2020. Anthony was born May 2nd, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late Anthony and the late Mary Critelli. Beloved husband to Diana Critelli. Loving Father to Kevin Critelli and Father-in-law to Rhonda Critelli. Adored Grandfather to Jonah Critelli.
More than a few have described Anthony as simply “A Wonderful Man”. He loved good music, good food and drink, a good book, and for some reason…Accounting. When asked why he loved Accounting, he sincerely answered “I like the way everything balances out”. That makes perfect sense if you knew Tony. To say he was neat would be an understatement. If he wasn’t sitting in his office, you would never know he was at work because his desk always looked untouched. This uncluttered lifestyle was just an outward display of his personality. He was always even keeled, thoughtful, insightful, understanding and loving. On top of all that, he was the funniest person you would ever meet. Not because he told jokes or played pranks but he said the exact right thing at the right time and it would hit like a perfectly written comedy line. Even in the last days, Tony teased his 8 month old grandson Jonah by dangling his oxygen tube in front of him saying “You can’t have it”. Jonah had of course been trying to eat the oxygen tube.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and even still by those who did not.
We love you Anthony
