Obituary of Leonard Charles Bartkus

Leonard “Lenny” Bartkus, Jr. entered into eternal rest on August 19th, 2020, at the age of 61. Lenny was born on November 14, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Leonard Bartkus, Sr. and Ruth (Johnson) Bartkus. He married his sweetheart Pamela Carmel on September 19, 1981. Lenny dedicated his life to serving his church in many ways but, most dear to his heart, Lenny often worked with youth groups, teaching them about God’s love and counseling them in times of trouble. Lenny is not only survived by his wife Pam and children (Victoria, Chris, Nick, & Tyler), but also by the many friends he considered family. There is no doubt that Lenny touched the lives of all whom he loved.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, BRooklyn, NY 11234.

Considering the current health crisis, a religious funeral will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers (because we know he has a ton of them in the basement), donations can be sent to a charity of your choice.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Leonard's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
