Regina, Robert, Gerald and Mary:
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Patrick back when he was my “little” cousin down the block on East 31st Street. That did not last long. He was always larger than life and went out of his way to help people. Our sympathies are with you.

Deepest condolences to Regina and the entire Smyth family on the occasion of the tragic loss of Patrick. Since we met back in 1981, Pat proved to be an honorable, lovable all-around great guy. His wry sense of humor was only rivaled by his sincere love for the family and friends around him. Not enough can be said about the strength of his character and his steadfast dedication in the service of others. Our hearts are extremely heavy at this most difficult of times. Best wishes and loving memories. Sincerely, Daniel and Kelly Murphy.

We are so sorry for your loss words cannot express. Pat was a great guy with a big heart. Pat always had my back whether it was on the job, playing hockey and softball even in fantasy football ( nice pick Phil ). Pat’s memory will always live on in my house through the stories I share with my children about the Jets trips we went on, sports we played or just NYPD stories that started on the 4x12 and turned into a 4x4. Pat will forever be my brother and my friend. Love always Phil & Stacey Benoit.
RIP IKE

I always felt safe when I was with Pat. He always stood up for and protected his friends. It was like having another Brother looking out for me. Pat was a great athlete and played many sports such as Baseball, Basketball, Hockey and Golf. We played against each other in baseball and softball for years, but regardless who won, after the game, we were always friends. Although we did not see much of each other last few years, I will cherish the memories of when we did re-connect on the golf course and at the Salty Dog. Pat will be missed. RIP brother Pat.
