Merry Christmas Lori may you RIP, she loved the holidays! I started as a litigation paralegal at CWT in 1997. She taught me and helped me to be who I am today! Strong independent woman and a business owner! Last year she emailed the old litigation paralegal group, she wanted to know of us. Was able to chat with her. Can’t thank you enough for the tough love you gave me, I learned so much! My condolences to her mom and husband. Thank you for being your at your best to us! Love always Rebecca

I first met Lori as a first year associate at Cadwalader. I was fortunate enough to be tasked with putting together the first draft of a motion. Nervous as I was, I asked my mentor if I should do anything before sending the draft to the partner, and she recommended that I run the motion by Lori. I did so, and I almost immediately got a call back from Lori. Sensing that I was pretty clueless, she told me that she would get the motion back to me in a form that could actually be submitted to a court.
At that point, I thought I had annoyed her and for some time, I had the impression that she did not like me. As it turns out, this could not be further from the case. Lori had a no-nonsense approach to work but once you got to spend more time with her, she was the sweetest person you could ever know and would do whatever was needed in order to get you what you asked for.
I found out about Lori's illness just two days before her passing. I am still in shock about it and I only wish I had learned of it earlier so I could have told her how much I appreciated her. As it stands, I hope her family knows that she was deeply cared for and the firm will not be the same without her. May she rest in peace.

Lori was one of the first people I had the pleasure of meeting when I started at Cadwalder. I went on to work with her for many years in the litigation department. Some of my fondest memories ever was the 9th floor at CW&T. She was a giving and caring soul who was always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. I will never forget her beautiful smile. My prayers to her husband and mom.....Rest In Peace Lori.

I remember first meeting Lori when I started as a summer intern at Cadwalader. My first thought was man, she could be tough. And she was tough, but she was also fair, and the most caring and loving supervisor I could have ever asked for. She taught and guided me, someone who started at the firm while in college, through the nine or so years I've spent with the firm. Not just relating to litigation work, but Lori was also generous with life advice when I needed. She was always available to chat and always seemed to provide just the right advice I needed. She was tough and honest when I needed that, but kind, nurturing and forgiving when I need that. Regardless, she was always protective of me and gave me the room to learn and grow both professionally and personally. I could not have asked for a better role model, advisor, and mentor in the years of my life that would determine my later life and career. Even after I moved on from the firm, she would always keep in touch and check in. We also bonded over her love of Top Gear, and she always glowed when sharing stories of her adventures. She will be dearly missed and I will be forever grateful for and treasure the talks we've had and the guidance I've received.

I worked at CWT a long time ago, in the litigation department. I was there only about 2 years but Lori was such a big part of my experience. I was a young associate and she was warm and welcoming. She was amazing at what she did - smart, talented, devoted. She made sure I got my job done and she did it all with a smile and a great sense of humor. I always knew if I had Lori’s help, all would be fine. She was a special person who will truly be missed by many. My deepest sympathies to her family and all those close to her.

One of the kindest people I’ve ever met. When I moved into the condo that Lori served on the board of , i was really at six’s and sevens. Lori went out of her way, as busy as she was with her own life and job, to make sure I learned
How way everything worked
and to help us adjust to it all. We often joked that no matter how early in the morning i was leaving for work , she was already out waiting for her car to Manhattan ready to set fire to the day. When i gave a demo at the nyc food and wine festival, Lori and her mother attended and we had such a fun afternoon!! I choose to remember that lovely day when I think of her, her smile and her gentle way of dealing with difficult people. I am so sorry for Paul and her mom, the loss must be devastating.

Lori was the absolute embodiment of so many qualities that it would take page upon page to list them all, and there would still be ones I’d forget. She was the epitome of hard work, discipline and excellence so much so that, honestly, sometimes it was almost a little intimidating how well she knew her stuff. Except that, above all, she was also so caring and fiercely loyal and protective. I will miss being able to pop into her office at any time, I will miss her cackly laugh that always made me laugh myself, I will miss her unfailing guidance and many many kindnesses. Most of all, I will miss her friendship. My deepest sympathies to her family.

Although it has been many years since I hung my hat at CWT what I do remember is when I started there back in 1996. I was an Admin intern on the Litigation floor. That is where I met many great and helpful people. Lori was one of them. I didn’t deal with her in terms of my job but I do remember her always being very friendly and welcoming. I also remember a great sense of humor. I was only 22 at the time but I realized quickly that Lori was the go to gal for getting things done.
Loss is never easy. I’ve lost both my parents in recent years but I do believe they are always with us guiding and loving us.
With deepest sympathies.

There are truly no words. I had the privilege of working with Lori for 1.5 years. It is unfortunate for me that I did not have more time to learn from her wisdom. I often tell people that Lori is the hardest working person I have ever met. She was the consummate professional, but also one of the nicest and most generous people I have ever met. Lori's grace, generosity, professionalism and dedication will be missed in all aspects of life. I will truly miss her friendship. Rest in Peace.

I worked with Lori the entire time she was at Cadwalader. Aside from the fact that she had a great personality and endless dedication to her work, Lori was by far the most accomplished litigation legal assistant I have ever met. Simply put, she knew how to try a case. By that I mean that she understood all of the steps and the issues and mechanics of how a trial team puts together preparation for a jury trial or a bench trial, and how to conduct it through to the end. Aside from working together on several trials, Lori for many years also managed our in house trail advocacy program for new associates. She was also so well accomplished in the document discovery process that she was entirely capable of doing document reviews for privilege or otherwise as if she was an admitted lawyer, subject of course to senior lawyer review. All this always with a big smile and obvious enjoyment of the day. We all should have her great attitude towards life. Everyone at Cadwalader who knew you, Lori, will miss you greatly.
Howard Hawkins.

They say you can feel your heart break. Well, I know exactly what that feeling is right now. I am truly heartbroken. Where do I find the words to describe the love and respect that I feel for Lori.
I worked with Lori the minute she started at CWT. Her kindness, love, work ethic, knowledge was unbelievable. I learned so much from Lori. When you worked with Lori, you were getting the BEST that CWT had to offer. We were a great team.
I am truly blessed to have had Lori in my life. She always was there with her shoulder for me to cry on and I was always there for her. That friendship is hard to find and, I am truly blessed to have had Lori in my life.
After many years I left CWT but, CWT was always family to me and, Lori was one of the main reasons for that bond. I will keep Lori in my prayers and heart forever.
Wishing Paul and “Mom” Dillon the courage, strength and love to help you through this loss.
Be at peace my beautiful friend. I love you. Helen

I had the privilege of working with Lori for the past 14 years. CWT truly was a family for her and she was revered in the Litigation Group. She taught me so much as a young lawyer. Her knowledge of the firm, its people, the practice and procedure of litigation was unparalleled. Her dedication was second to none. She worked weekends, late nights, whatever the team needed. Her work was perfect- a true and trusted resource for the litigators. Lori was also a friend- asking about family, sharing her mom’s Christmas cookies, sharing a laugh. Lori has been a constant in my years at Cadwalader. The morning after she passed, my 5 year old went to choose a mask for school and he picked his Mets mask. It was a sign. Wait till next year ..... Lori. May Heaven bring you all the World Series you deserve. We love you, we thank you for your friendship, we are grateful for you loyalty to our firm, and we will sorely miss you.

She was our go to for questions on legal briefs as well as questions about life. She was a kind nurturer to those of us who worked under her at times of extreme stress. Lori was our rock. But she always stood by me through out all of the difficult times and difficult trials and was always available. And she knew her stuff. She was kind and had a heart of gold! I left Cadwalader in 2015 but I have thought so much of her and all the people that I worked with over there. I will always see her face when I think back of those days. Lori will be missed. She was one of a kind. Lori was so full of energy and life and was always smiling. She loved her work and worked all the time and when she was done working, she worked for our building as board president and probably every other board post at some point or another. Her energy was boundless and she was always driven to help others and her community. It's been years since we've been neighbors, but every Christmas Lori always remembers our daughter and sends the most thoughtful gifts.
I will always remember Lori's laughter and the many great times we had over meals at our favorite local eateries. Lori had so many great stories of growing up in the city and of all the things she's seen and gone through.
