Obituary of Angelo Ippolito
Angelo Ippolito, age 85 (or, as he would say “the 50th anniversary of my 35th birthday”), passed into Eternal Rest on December 2, 2020. Angelo was born on April 17, 1935 in Castrofilippo, Italy. He received a University degree in Agrigento, Italy in the field of surveying. He emigrated to the United States in 1961 and, a year later, married Lillian. He worked in various positions including as supervisor of the Letters of Credit department at General Motors. He was a faithful member of Saint Brendan’s parish where he was a Knight in the Morningstar Council 294 of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included playing bocce at Marine Park, and playing cards and pool at Amico Senior Center. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Angelo is predeceased by his parents, Carmela and Giuseppe Ippolito, and his siblings, Pino, Antonia and Luigi. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Lillian, and daughters Milena, and husband Jim, and Elisa, and husband Eddie, and loving grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Jenna, Timothy and Amanda.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of family and food and his appreciation for a good senior discount.
Forever In Our Hearts
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Angelo's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
