Rose Scott

Obituary of Rose Marie Scott

Rose Marie Scott was also known as Mom, Nanny and Aunt Rosie. She was born Rose Marie Amico a name she was very proud of because it was Italian. She took a lot of pride in being Italian. She grew up in Sunset Park Brooklyn, graduated from Bay Ridge High School and became a naval secretary. On weekends she would go to the local church dances where she met the love of her life Mr. Gordon Leonard Scott, whom she married and had three children with Kathy, Robert and Linda.

She was a thoughtful, loving and caring mom. When we were kids she would get up early every morning to make us breakfast and prepare our school lunches. When we came home from school she would help us with our homework. She was always there to listen and give you a hug, along with her famous words of advice,  “This too shall pass.” She will be missed by all, especially her grandchildren Kimberly, Steven, William, Robert and Emma Rose.

Visitation for Rose will take place on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM, at Marine Park Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Columba Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 10:45 AM.

Entombment to immediately follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
