I went to grammar school with Layle in the late 1940s and early '50s. She was always the smartest person in the room; confident, and very mature, but also very pleasant. A good Christian. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate Layle for our reunions, but I am not surprised to learn that she was so accomplished, as an author, dancer, and professional, and that she was so admired and loved. R.I.P. Deepest sympathy to her family..

Wonderful memories of Layle will always remain in our hearts. Layle had a warm personality; always greeted you with an infectious smile. Even when speaking to her on the phone, can hear and see that smile on her face. She loved telling humorous stories that were accompanied with a chuckle. My family and I enjoyed the visits she made along with my Uncle Barry. We will cherish those memories. May her soul rest in peace.

Auntie Layle was a renaissance woman. She was ahead of her time on many things. I remember her being an avid reader of science fiction. She also faced the nitty gritty details of living. She was an explorer, willing to try new things. She danced, raised a family of five, became a nurse and author. She really loved life and embraced it enthusiastically. Because of her life I am encouraged to be bolder in my own.

Layle was one of the sweetest souls you can ever meet. She will be missed dearly! We had grand plans to celebrate our birthdays together in 2022. We are all better to have known this beautiful woman. May her soul find eternal rest with our heavenly father.

I remember meeting Layle at the home of Joe and LeAnn Giusto. Her love for Jesus was evident throughout our conversation and we had an immediate bond as sisters in the Lord.
Her passing leaves us sad, but "we don't grieve as those who have no hope." (I Thessalonians 4:13) What joy to know that all of us who serve the Lord Jesus will see Layle again in our heavenly home! With respect and love, Marcia Aupperlee
