Obituary of Daniel Francis Sweeney

Daniel Sweeney, age 52, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Daniel was his family’s shining star, who brought joy to everyone. He was truly a gift, with a huge heart and a good sense of humor. He was a people-person and animal lover. Daniel was a natural barista, offering to make coffee for anyone who came into his home. A Yankee fan and Star Trek fanatic. Daniel enjoyed a good game of BINGO, bowling and going to the movies. He also enjoyed making things, fixing things and arts & crafts of all sorts. 

Daniel was predeceased by his devoted parents Daniel V. Sweeney and Francesca (nee Tuozzo) Sweeney.

He is survived by his loving siblings Aileen (Joseph) Belcastro and Barbara (Billy) Losavio.

Daniel was the cherished uncle of Brad (Stephanie), Jace (Ashley) and Aliza Belcastro and Brianna Losavio.

Forever In Our Hearts

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Daniel’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing Saturday, November 27 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 PM and Sunday, November 28 from 2 – 5 and 7 – 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Monday, November 29 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church.

Burial to immediately follow at St. John Cemetery.
