Obituary of Ronald Izzo

Ronald Izzo went home to see Jesus on January 12th, 2022, at the age of 69.  The visitation will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Columba Roman Catholic Church on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Timothy Lambert officiating. 

Ronald “Daddy, Pop-Pop” was born in Brooklyn, NY to Giralama Abrimonti and Liberato Izzo on July 21st, 1952 along with siblings Phylis Tinebra, Michael Izzo, Frank Izzo, Rosalie Caltabiano, & Irene Scorzelli. 

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife Deborah Izzo, two children Danielle Powers & Kristen Geoghan, son-in-laws Richard Powers & William Geoghan; and his grandchildren - Jillian, James, Billy, Christopher, and two sweet baby girls on the way. 

Ronald enjoyed and lived every moment for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was always an active member of the Marine Park Community and St. Columba Youth Council where he dedicated most of his time to the youth sports organization. He was a passionate advocate for girl's sports. Ronald was a mentor, role model, and father figure to many.
