Obituary of Robert "Bob" Capeci
Beloved Captain Robert L. Capeci, USMC, Retired, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 89.
Bob’s Military Honors Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, October 13, 2023, at 1 PM (arrive by Noon) at Arlington National Cemetery. Reception will follow at Patton Hall at Fort Myer next door. (I need to know right away if you are planning on attending. Title it “Bob’s Services” and email to marilynullrich@optonline.net.)
Photographers will be preparing a slideshow of the Ceremony and Reception which will be ready in about 4 to 6 weeks after the Ceremony. Plans are for a casual get together in Brooklyn once the slideshow is ready.
Please view the Tribute Wall (NOT the Tribute Book) to read “Bob’s Story”properly. Many significant events in Bob’s life are listed; some pictures are included. (Marilyn’s brother-in-law, George, is also preparing a pamphlet for handout.)
Bob’s Story will start with his picture and a preamble.You may have to page through the Tribute Wall to get to it if others have listed comments because his story will be pushed to the end.
To get to the Tribute Wall:
-Select drop-down menu arrow to the right of “Obituary” under Bob’s initial picture.
-Select “Tribute Wall”
-Scroll through comments to get to the beginning of Bob’s Story. You will see his picture, and then the Preamble section. }
-His story is in four different sections of various sizes. When you get to the end of a section, you will see “next” at the bottom right above a box that says “Share Your Memory of Robert”. Click on “next>>>” to see the next part of Bob‘s Story.
His story concludes with a picture of him in his 50’s and our favorite picture of us taken at Wheelers restaurant by our friend, Jeff.
