Obituary of Anthony Joseph Pomponio

Anthony Joseph Pomponio, age 85, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022.  Mr. Pomponio was born August 11, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Giuseppe and the late Letizia (nee Bartuccio) Pomponio. 

 

He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Eulalia Lillian (nee Oates) Pomponio.

 

 Beloved father to Anthony Pomponio, Jr. (Raffaella,) Michele Morello (John,) Mary Finnel (Brendan,) Christine Clements (Gregory.)

 

Cherished grandfather to Samantha (Peter,) Anthony, Christian, Gabriella, Jack and Michael.

 

Brother of Carl Pomponio (Geraldine,) Joseph Pomponio and Rose Careccia (the late John.)

 

Loved by many nieces and nephews.  

 

Forever In Our Hearts

 

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Mr. Pomponio’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

 

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 6 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, October 7 at 10:00 AM at Mary Queen Of Heaven R.C. Church, 1395 East 56th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

 

Burial to immediately follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
