We will miss you dearly. Luke will miss seeing you next door while you caught fresh air as he ran in the grass. You were so sweet and kind, there will never be another. Thank you for the talks and laughs Mr. Kelly.
And as Luke would say, My Friend Jim, mr kelly xoxo

I offer my deepest sympathy to the family of a really great man. I worked with Jim on various jobs in Con Edison over the years. My memories of Jim will always be of his laugh, Irish brogue, sense of humor and that of a gentleman.
May the light of his soul bring love and peace to his family and friends.

I’m very sorry to hear about Jimmy’s passing. He was a founding member of the boys on the bench in Marine Park. He was not shy about giving his views and opinions on many topics, especially politics and America. Always talked about his days playing Irish football and Con Ed among other things. Proud of his Irish heritage, proud of his family, also proud to be an American and New Yorker.
Jimmy enjoyed living in Marine Park and made good use of his proximity to the park. When you met him, he made a positive impression and drew you into interesting conversations. He will be missed and THAT is an understatement. May God now accompany him on his journey where he will wait for those he leaves behind for now. I count having Jimmy as a friend as a blessing.
