Obituary of Michael Salerno
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Salerno, who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the age of 58. Born on February 4, 1965, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the beloved son of the late Alex and Carmel (Judice) Salerno.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth. He was a devoted father to Timothy Maldonado, Bryanna Salerno, Brittany Salerno, and Michaela Salerno. Cherished grandfather of Khole and Grayson, and adored uncle to Frank, Steven, and Christopher. He was the beloved brother of Patricia Damiani (Steve) and Joanne Sasto (Joe). Michael was also a loving boyfriend to Diane.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, Michael had a unique gift for making everyone around him laugh. His joyous spirit and playful nature will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a deep passion for cars, particularly his beloved Buick Riviera, and had a genuine appreciation for all cars and bikes. Michael was a generous soul who would willingly give the shirt off his back to help others.
Reposing on Friday, November 24, from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, located at 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45 AM on Saturday, November 25, at St. Bernard R.C. Church, 2055 East 69th Street, Brooklyn, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
