Obituary of Anna Bernadette Chiarantano
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Anna Bernadette Chiarantano.
Anna, 87, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. She was born February 7, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Daniel and the late Mary (nee Gallagher) Coll.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Anthony Chiarantano.
Anna is the devoted mother to her six children, Daniel (Mary,) Anthony (Patricia,) Christopher, Anne, Michael (Dawn) and Mary.
Her legacy of love extends to her grandchildren, who fondly call her “Ma,” Anthony (Megan,) Christine (James,) Deirdre (Brendan,) Jessica (James,) Daniel, Bridget, the late Anthony Vincent, Michael John and Thomas.
Anna found profound joy in doting on her great grandchildren,Taylor, Audrey, James, Caroline, Nora, Landon, Bridget, Hadley, Bridget Grace and Parker.
Anna is the beloved sister of Mary, Bridget and Daniel, and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Forever In Our Hearts
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May Anna’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,
rest in peace. Amen.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 27 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 28 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY.
Burial to immediately follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thomas Porter Scholarship Fund or
the The Monastery of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Joseph in Anna’s name.
