Obituary of Thomas Cutrufelli

Thomas Cutrufelli, a cherished husband, devoted brother, beloved uncle, and dear friend, passed away at the age of 62 on April 17, 2024.

Thomas was born and raised in Brooklyn. At the age of 27, he made the vibrant streets of Manhattan his home and there he remained for the rest of his life.

In 1980, Thomas's life was forever enriched when he met the love of his life, Valerie. Together, they embarked on a journey of love and partnership that spanned 25 beautiful years of marriage. 

Thomas's artistic soul found expression in his work as an interior designer, where he poured his passion and creativity into every project.

A true sports enthusiast, Thomas cheered passionately for his beloved Mets and Giants. Beyond his professional pursuits and sports fandom, Thomas found solace and rejuvenation in travel and the tranquility of the beach. Whether exploring new destinations or basking in the sun and sea, he reveled in the simple pleasures of life and embraced each moment with gratitude and joy.

Thomas's memory will be forever treasured by his devoted wife, Valerie, his loving siblings Gregory (Patricia) Idone, Janet Cutrufelli, Joseph (Mary) Cutrufelli, and Dianne (David) Rose, his adoring nieces and nephews John, Dinneen (Jeremy), and Michael, his great-niece Ashley, and his dear in-laws Thomas (Linda) Komorowski and Victoria (Bryan) Dusini, along with countless friends and colleagues whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and zest for life. Thomas is reunited with his beloved dog the late Piper.

In the quiet moments and fond memories, Thomas's spirit will live on, a guiding light and source of comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

The visitation for Thomas Cutrufelli will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Monday April 22, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday at 8:00 PM.
