Obituary of Vertulia Michel

Vertulia Michel, 92, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at home, surrounded by her beloved family. Ms. Michel was born September 23, 1932, in Haiti. She is the daughter of the late Antoine and the late Ismela (Germain) Michel.

She is survived by Jean Claude Labissier. Devoted mother to Marjorie Michel, the late Tanya Labissier and the late Medine Labissier.

Grandmother to Anthony, Jonathan and Tariq.

Ms. Michel will be missed by her sister Fernade Michel.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 6 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, December 7 at Holy Innocents R.C. Church, 279 East 17th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Entombment to immediately follow in St. John Cemetery, Queens.
