I first met Pam on her very first day at JJK.She was fresh out of school and she proved herself to have the mettle for the job.. Pam was not only smart and hardworking, but fun and funny. She knew how to diffuse some difficult and stressful situations. Pam had a great sense of humor and could find the light in many tense situations. It was so wonderful to have her as a colleague and ally.
Pamela loved her enormous family, and all her many friends. She was totally loyal and supportive. I never saw her look more
Beautiful or happy than on her wedding day to Charles. She was radiant in her happiness and love. And it was an amazing wedding — every detail had been seen to including the dirty water dogs on an authentic hot dog stand when you left the celebration.
I think the Best Man’s speech about Charles and Pam was as touching and amusing as could be. Actually, not only was it a testament to what kind of man Pam was marrying, but it told the story of love, devotion and friendship.
Even though I moved from NY I still was able to keep up my friendship with Pam. We shared stories of our families, and I heard of all the fabulous time Pam spent with Charles — going on long bike rides, sailing vacations, and hanging out at Breezy.
They were so fortunate to have each other though thick and thin.
Pam made a difference in so many lives. She will continue to be held close in all our hearts. My deepest condolences to all
Pam’s family and to all her friends.

We are deeply saddened to hear of your passing. Taken from us far too soon, you leave behind countless cherished memories. The fun times we shared at JJ Kenny- the unforgettable parties, after work cocktails, and the battles for trades will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Rest with the angels Pam, and may your family find comfort in the beautiful memories they created with you.
With love, Ellen Marie & Christine

Pamela Dower posted a condolence

Dear Charles and Pam’s loving family,
New York City . The ‘80s, the ‘90s and into the ‘00s. We were municipal bond brokers at JJ Kenny and Chapdelaine. We were wearing pearls, black patent leather pumps and of course, stockings. We were part of the wave of women being hired on Wall Street. We did not all play golf, lacrosse or belong to a country club but we made connections and had family members who helped us get our foot in that “proverbial “ door. We were ready, smart and determined. We were not afraid. That was Pam. I had the honor of being Pam’s work “ twin,” at Chappy. My name is Pamela Ann Dower, and we both covered many of the same accounts during our employment at JJ and Chappy. Pam definitely had the edge when it came to wit, toughness and humor. She knew exactly what tone of voice to use to get her accounts to pay attention. She was always on top of her game. I was a bit more soft spoken, not as bold , and Pam and I would have quite a few laughs, over drinks, discussing how these guys would sometimes confuse us, calling one back with a “counter” to a bid or a “bids wanted” list that was not necessarily theirs! We had become friends through our mutual friend, Jen Swanton, and from that day forward we would all be a close knit group, competing during the long days to get our fair share of trades, but always enjoying each other’s company at Topper’s Parties , Harry’s, birthday celebrations and golf outings. We shared life’s challenges and joys, and I especially remember the party she had when she had finished renovating her apartment. It was absolutely beautiful and she was so proud of all of the unique and hand crafted touches. She certainly had an eye for creating a space that reflected her personality. I will always treasure and cherish the times I spent with Pam. We were so fortunate to have been navigating a “new world” of women in a “man”s world “ together, and she succeeded brilliantly. If you want to honor Pam’s memory, take a walk over to the “Fearless Girl “ statue on Broad Street, give her a hug, and mentor young people in your life. She would love it. Thinking of all of you at this very sad time. Knowing Pam’s spirit will continue to live on in all you do. With love, in my thoughts, Pam
