Dear Bernstein Family: Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Josie was an institution and in many ways a force of nature who willed her family forward and to success. She was a delight as we grew up, never afraid to speak her mind or give her POV, yet in her own way she was open to new ideas and a solid argument on the merits. Many a conversation I remember with her as a youth, many laughs and an occassional tear. Josie was a good soul and the heart of her community wherever she was. To the "grands" your nanna was a good friend to us growing up in Brooklyn and will be missed. My memories of her will always be very fond. Carry her in your hearts.
