Found this photo recently and wanted to share. Dad loved mom's family like they were his own. Here he is with nephews Jerry (left, mom's sister Anne's son), Frank (middle, mom's sister Anne's son-in-law) and Tom (right, mom's sister Josie's son).

Uncle Pete was so admired and loved by his family and friends. Our memories of him are mostly of the wonderful times we had in West Virginia when our big family gathered in Douglas or at Blackwater Falls in the summer. These reunions brought us all closer together and have allowed each generation to stay close and appreciate the true meaning of family.
On one of our visits to New York, Uncle Pete took us around, and when he was blocked in by cars parking a bit to close, he calmly nudged the front car forward and the rear car backward. We have never forgotten his lesson on city life and we still laugh at his glee. Another endearing memory is when our New York family came to Andy & Joanna's wedding in New Jersey. Pete sat at our table and had such a wonderful time sharing in Vince's homemade wine. He laughed and sang the night through.
Oh, if I could only hug him one more time and tell him how much we love and miss him.
