Minerva posted a condolence

Dear family and friends,
Hi my name is Minerva, I was saddened to learn of the death of Mr.Bruce Joseph Henry. I am writing to you and your family in order to extend my sincere condolences for your loss. I would also like to share something that I have personally found to be very comforting. In the bible, in Acts 24:15 it states "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". God does not want any of us to go through the loss of our loved ones. This is why he promises us that he will resurrect our loved ones that have passed away. Resurrect means to rise the dead back up. An additional bible text that comforts me is Revelation 21:4 which mentions that "death will be no more"
So I want to leave you and your family with this hope of the good news, that you will see your loved one Mr.Bruce Joseph Henry again. If you would like additional information on this topic please visit us at JW.org or feel free to contact me at my email stated above.
Sincerely and with deepest sympathy,
Minerva

Bruce and I met while serving in the army. We were both in Vietnam around the same time although assigned to different locations. When we returned to the US we were both assigned to Ft Riley, Kansas, and it was there that our friendship became stronger and where I got to know Pat, and later Sean. Our personalities were different which in a way probably contributed to the success of our friendship, and since I grew up in northern New Jersey we were able to continue that friendship after getting out of the service. One of my fondest memories is being hired by Bruce to work for the summer at the Catholic Charities (I think) camp on Long Island after quitting my Wall Street accounting job. It was a fun summer and a transitonal time for me that soon after led to a move to Colorado We stayed connected for several years after that to include a ski trip out west when Sean was 4 or 5 years old and Bruce and Pat's participation in my wedding in Boston. As life goes sometimes, our connections became fewer and farther apart, but I will always think fondly of my friendship with Bruce (and Pat) especially during those early formative years.
In closing, I offer my deepest condolences to Pat, Sean, Katie, and the rest of the family. I will be making a donation to the Henry Family Veterans Scholarship at St. Francis College in Bruce's honor.
