Obituary of Helen Catherine Murtagh

Helen Catherine Murtagh, age 70, of Rockaway Point, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. Helen was born November 12, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Mary (nee Sullivan) Carrig.

She is survived by her beloved husband Douglas Murtagh.

Sister to John Carrig (Joanne,) Joan Carrig Collins, the late James Carrig (Maura.)

Cherished aunt of Jaclyn, Erin, Liam, Dylan and Aisling.

Great aunt to Emma.

Helen will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Forever In Our Hearts

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Helen's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace. Amen.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 22 from 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Thursday, June 23 from 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A funeral service will be on Friday, June 24 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 204-25 Rockaway Point Blvd., Rockaway Point, NY.
